The anime is based on the SHOSHIMIN Series mystery novels by Hyouka’s Honobu Yonezawa. The story follows Jogoro Kobato, a boy with great deduction skills, and Yuki Osanai, a girl with sharp perception and strong initiative. Past experiences cause the two to aspire to a plain life, but unfortunately for them, their high school seems to be a hotbed for mysterious cases and misfortune.
