In this week's issue, we have the results from the Father’s Day poll, the Top 10 anime charts for Spring 2024 Week 10, Studio 3Hz’s anime production operations transfer, news about Producer Hiroyuki Omori’s passing, details on the digital release of “Tokyo Friday Night,” the second season announcement of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince, the opening animation for the Page of Lambda project, and Girltaku discuss female vs male gaze in their latest podcast.
Thank you for voting in the Father's Day poll! Byakuya from Dr.Stone won best dad, beating out Loid from Spy x Family by 3%. In addition, the Buddy Daddies duo also made it to 5th and 6th place while the sweetest dads, Kouhei and Kakushi, also made it into the top 10 with 13-14% of the votes each!
For the second week in a row, Girls Band Cry takes first place on the Top 10 Anime chart with KonoSuba S3 in second. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation makes a comeback this week by re-entering the charts in 4th place.
Darkness from Konosuba S3 jumps three more spots this week into first place, and with Mushoku Tensei’s return to the top anime chart, Roxy debuts at 5th place on the female character chart. Momoka from Girls Band Cry also joins Nina on the chart for the first time, debuting in 10th place.
Kazuma and Rimuru hold the top two spots this week, with Shindo aiming for top spot again. Rudeus from Mushoku Tensei makes a come back this week by jumping five spots up to fifth, and his dad, Paul Greyrat, debuts in 6th. In addition, the new Grade Captain Haruka Sakura re-enters the chart in 9th place.

Studio 3Hz Transfers Animation Production and Planning Operations to A-1 Pictures
Studio 3Hz‘s anime planning and production operations have been transferred to A-1 Pictures. Accordingly, A-1 Pictures is now the animation production studio for the upcoming Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2 anime. The show’s staff lineup remains the same.
3Hz was founded in 2013 by Kinema Citrus co-founder Yuichiro Matsuya. Celestial Method, the first show it produced, aired in 2014.

Anime News Network confirmed via Warner Bros. Japan in an email sent on Sunday, June 16, 2024 that executive producer Hiroyuki Omori has passed away. No further details about the cause of death were given.

Nijisanji Releases “Page of Lambda” Opening Animation Featuring “Sanbaka” Trio
What if Nijisanji VTubers Ange Katrina, Inui Toko, and Lize Helesta — collectively known as “Sanbaka” — had an anime that depicted them as travelling companions in a fantasy world? That’s the premise for the Page of Lambda project, which includes a nicely-produced 90-second opening animation that is now up on the Nijisanji YouTube channel and features the tagline: “The more they know, the more they know they don’t know.”
